Our Mission
"Our mission at Lincoln Christian Academy is to provide a quality education with a Christian worldview to prepare spiritual warriors, to serve others, and to glorify God."

Philosophy & Purpose
Lincoln Christian Academy holds that education is designed to meet the needs of the total student. Our program will help the student grow and develop emotionally, intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. Our desire is that each student will develop an eagerness and love for learning.
Curriculum and Teaching Methods
We encourage innovation and creativity in the classrooms. Our early childhood program provides outside play, learning centers, music with movement, and hands-on manipulatives to help the student grow and develop fine and gross motor skills. Elementary students receive instruction in various core subjects such as math, language arts, science, social studies, and Bible; and enrichment classes such as music, physical education, visual arts, and MakerSpace/technology.

Why Choose LCA?
1. Highly qualified teachers. (All teachers are highly qualified to teach excellent academics and to integrate all Bible principles.)
2. Preparing Servant Leaders. (All students at LCA will be taught the importance of serving others before self.)
3. Family and Community Engagement (Fostering a sense of community by engaging families in their child's learning process by service projects and participating in their child's spiritual walk with God.)
Meet the Team

Audrey Hovis
Head of School
Hello Lincoln Christian Academy Families!
I have been in education for the past 15 years. I have had the honor to have experienced administration at all three academic levels. I served at Fred T. Foard High School as an assistant principal, Maiden Elementary School as an assistant principal, Southwest Middle School as an assistant principal, Holbrook Middle School as the principal, and Cherryville Elementary School as the principal.

Ana Carnes
Enrichment Director
Ana Carnes is a fifth year teacher with a passion for creativity and the arts. She believes that every child is full of potential and that God has big plans for each of them. In her free time, Ana enjoys pursuing her love of musical theatre and has too many hobbies to count. Ana is so excited about the school year to come and cannot wait to be a part of what God is doing at LCA!

Chelsea Campbell
1st Grade Teacher
My name is Chelsea Campbell, and I had the privilege of serving as an LCA substitute during the 2024–2025 school year. I am excited to continue my journey this year as a first-grade teacher. I have been married for ten years and am a proud mother of four children. I’m currently completing my degree in Early Childhood Education at Western Carolina University.
I’m familiar with the Abeka curriculum and look forward to implementing it in a new setting this year. My prayer for the school year is that both students and staff will grow deeper in their love for Jesus and that we will boldly share His love with our community.

Cassandra Farmer
3rd-4th Grade Teacher
Ms. Cassandra Farmer is a veteran teacher. Teaching for nearly 20 years across the areas of Cleveland County, Gaston County, and Charlotte Mecklenburg has been a true mission and calling from God. Ms. Farmer did her undergraduate work at Winston Salem State University and earned her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix. Because of her love for community work in surrounding churches and schools she became a Certified Professional Life Coach as well. “I’m grateful to be an LCA Warrior! God has something extra special in store for us here and I’m honored to be a part of His plan.”

Cheryl Black
2nd Grade Teacher
I’m Cheryl Black, originally from Ohio. I moved to NC my senior year and graduated from Temple Christian School in Gastonia. I was 7 when I first believed Jesus Christ wanted a relationship with me. I am the blessed mother of 1 adult daughter. This is my 24th year in education. Starting as a teacher assistant for 5 years in Gaston County and then pursued and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Belmont Abbey College. For the past 18 years I’ve taught 1st-5th grade in Lincoln County Schools. I’m very excited to join LCA; teaching and challenging students academically, and a lifelong dream to teach and watch students grow spiritually! My goal is serving Jesus Christ through teaching; showing His love and following His Word. My prayer is for each student to grasp the enormity of God’s faithful love and it drives them in their lifelong relationship with Christ. I want to encourage & engage their curiosity across subjects in a caring, structured environment where students can thrive.

Caitlin Carroll
1st Grade Teacher
This is my third year at LCA and second year as a 1st grade teacher. Prior to teaching 1st, I taught Kindergarten. As a first grade teacher in a Christ-centered environment, I have the joy of nurturing young minds while planting seeds of faith. Each day is an opportunity to guide students academically, socially, and spiritually—helping them discover the wonder of learning and the love of Jesus. Through hands-on activities, biblical integration, and a classroom culture rooted in kindness and grace, I strive to create a space where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow in both wisdom and character.
